**A Few Toys to Play With**

Some of you may not have been able to experience the Photo Studios at the park due to teleporter difficulty. This has been remedied and can be reached by using the teleporter in the middle of the park near the dedication plaque.

Once you have taken the teleporter you will come to a setting with different items that can be used for photography.

~(2) Green screens with menu driven color changer (Enabled by clicking the background prims)
~(2) Pose Stands fully loaded with some of the latest in poses for men and women
~(1) PhotoLIFE OM-10 v1.8 Photography studio

ALSO added for those other more laid back relaxed individuals we have the 7 SEAS Fishing game. Plus with the sim being rezzable bring your chairs and the kids and relax and have fun. We do have some nice posable pillows along the shore as well.

**An Evening in the Park**

Well it appears that we had a fabulous turn out to see the excellent Sojurn Rossini. He is an astounding live performer that sings very melodic tunes of todays great hits new and old. After last nights performance and to everyones delight that was in attendance Sojurn has made a deal with the park to perform every other friday night beginning September 5th. So if you were unable to make his performance last night then be sure to catch him on one of his regularly scheduled evenings.

The ARTist’s Park *Now Open*

Well ladies and gentlemen we had a spectacular opening event August 23rd. We had our sim more then full for the first hour. We even used a neighboring sim as a cross-over point in the case the sim filled up, which it did rather quickly.

**Create An Icon Competition**

As most of you have probably heard around the grid from friends or who knows where else The ARTist’s Park, an artist’s landmark, is now opening on its own open sourced sim. This has been in the works for quite some time and we are nearing completion on construction and plan to open August 23rd, 2008. To celebrate this event I am conducting a competition in which I invite ALL artists and graphic designers alike within the SL community to design a LOGO. I am not looking for cover art or a photographic piece, but an actual genuine logo that will represent “The ARTist’s Park.”

What do I win you might be asking. There is one winner.

25,000 Lindens!!!

Simple as that. Race for the gold and one winner takes all. You can use any post production programs you want and may enter as many times as you would like.

**An Evening At The Park**

To celebrate this fine occasion and Grand Opening of the ARTist’s Park we will be ending the night off with the outstanding Sojurn Rossini.  Let his melodic tunes and park atmosphere just take your mind away and set you adrift as he plays only the best he has to offer.

2 Surprise artists will decorate our hall with their fully *Original* pieces and all shall be for sale.

This will commemorate the GRAND OPENING of a long lasted ARTist’s Landmark.  Come out to the park and enjoy the newly renovated gallery and park design.  We are now featured on our own open source sim.

Welcome!

This is the new blog for The Artist’s Park in Second Life.  Here you will find all the information that is currently happening at the park as well as gallery opening information, performances or updates regarding The Park itself.  If you dont know much about the park then please let me elaborate.  The Park is a completely non-profit organization dedicated to bringing together artists of all skill and media together to display their art in a way in which we all can share.  If it be music then we have an amphitheatre to hold performances.  If it be photography or art then we have a gallery for chosen artists to exhibit their work as well as displays around the park in which members of The ARTist’s Park group can proudly display their pieces for other visitors to share.

The Park also features complete photography studios for visitors to interact with and take advantage of.  Some of the equipment includes some of the highest quality photostudios in Second Life as well as other tools such as a Photosphere and loaded pose stands with interchangeable color backgrounds.

Back when this park originally in December of 2007 it held a piece of land no more then 1/8 of a sim.  Then it was known as SLArtist Park.  All of the artists that were involved in the original opening of this establishment have all held on and supported this ongoing project.   Since the Park’s original opening the Park has undergone a series of trials and dramatic changes almost resulting in the park itself closing.  Ranging from site owners real lives requiring attention to sudden locale changes this park has still stood due to most in part the efforts of Stephen Venkman and Wyatt Benoir.
